AWESOME Fruit dip

Hey guys! i know, i haven't posted in SOOOO long... since karina's concussion! lol... well, here is an awesome fruit dip recipe that jane gave me. i love it!!

1 cup Mascarpone cheese (whole foods has it.. im not sure about trader joes... safeway DOESNT have it...)
2 Tablespoons of honey
2 Tablespoons of Heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon of vanilla flavouring/extract

you just mix it all together!!! when i made it, i think i put a little too much honey, so the dip tastes alot like honey now... maybe 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey would be good... but oh well. still delicious. now, just dip in your fruits and enjoy!!!

Posting/my day

Hey guys! reading rhea's blog reminded me how long i haven't blogged! it hasn't been as long as rhea's break, but long enough. today i will talk about my day.
first off, i was sleeping. i was sleeping very nicely until i woke up to find that i had to go to the bathroom. i was tired, but i knew i had to go or else.... you know... so it was like 5:00 am i think exactly, but im not sure. so, i lazily got up and went to the bathroom. it was kinda sad... just becuase i was so tired and didn't feel like getting up... just for your info, people like me do weird things when we are sleeping.... -_-... anyway, once i jumped back into bed, i almost immediatly fell back asleep. then, a couple hours later i woke up to a beeping noise (it was 6:45). i wasn't really sure where it was coming from... i knew it was someones alarm, but i didn't know whose. so i got up and went to my clock to see if it was ringing. it wasnt. i got up for nothing... again.. turns out it was my brothers going off... if i wasn't so tired, i wouldve yelled at him. then, my cousin krystal yelled at him for me. so happy i didn't have to get out of bed :P ... about 3 minutes later, my mom, krystal, and my brother were all talking VERY loudly so i couldn't really get to bed. at about 6:58, my mom came into my room to figure out whether or not the purple USB stick she found in the washer (haha) was mine. no, it was not, so i was bugged again... then in like 2 minutes, my first alarm went off.... sigh.. i had to get up and turn it off. then at like 7:10, my mom came in to tell me it was 7:10 (she doesn't know my waking up schedule...). disturbed again.... sigh... then, my second alarm went off at 7:15!! so i had to get up, and press the snooze button for another 10 minutes. my mom, brother and cousin FINALLY left for work/school. i finally got some peace and quiet for like 8 minutes!! then i got up at like 7:30 ish to get ready for school. for breakfast, i had the oh so healthy breakfast of 2 large marshmellows... then i was off to school.
my first class is social studies and we did this group project thing. because i kind of already was done, we basically just sat there for like the whole period doing nothing and "talking" about social studies.. (we mainly talked about non social studies realated things.) then i had cooking. we made the pizza dough :) yummm i made a hawaiian pizza. i nibbled on the pieces of ham, cheese, and pineapple while making it.. haha! i have concluded, i don't like my group. they make me do all of the washing, drying, and basically putting away. (ok, so im exaggerating alittle.... but i literally had to do like half of the work! ) tomorrow we are gonna bake it! so i am soo happy! yummmmmmmmmmm!!!!!! then we had brunch. i bought a yogurt parfait thingy.. it wasnt too good.... :( i normally don't buy stuff for brunch though. but becuase my freind wanted to buy something, she dragged me along, soooo i had to buy something. then we had pe. we did volleyball. then we had science. i dislike my science teacher... well, my science student teacher who teaches us. uggg.... treats us like kindergarteners.... then we had lunch. it was pizza day and i got hot cheetos and a slice of peperoni pizza. then i had math. i had a math test. i hope i got 100%... then we had language arts. im not sure whether or not i like my language arts teacher... she is either really awesome, or really.... i dunno.... a bad mood lets say. then i got a ride home. because my hip/wrist has been hurting for a couple days/like 2 months, my dad wouldn't let me go to gym... :( so instead, i went to the doctors. i went to urgent care cause the normal doc. wasn't free for like 6 weeks! i got an x ray on both my wrist and hip. gladly, there was no fracture... sadly, i still have no clue what is wrong with it... so i was told to take ibuprofin (advil, tylenol, aleve, motrin etc.) 2 times a day. one in the morning, one at night... lots of medicine.... if it doesn't get any better by next week, i am going to go to the orthopedics (muscle/bone doctor)to see what is wrong. the doc. i saw today said it might be pulled/sprained/twisted/ i dunno. something to do with the muscle i think. then, i went home and ate dinner. i did hw, then i took a shower. and now i am here typing up this really long description of my day. did you like it?

Gum and Onions

Hey guys! sorry i haven't been posting for a while. but just recently, when i was chopping onions, i figured i would try chewing gum because i had read that chewing gum while chopping onions would stop you from crying. so, to prove my point, it didn't work. so, if you are ever going to chop onions, don't waste a piece of gum. thanks! bye!

Albert Einstein

Hey People! Many people know Albert Einstein as a genius, and have seen the famous picture of him sticking his tongue out. But what people don't know, is that when he was a little kid, his mother thought he was retarded (because he talked slowly to make sure the sentence came out right), and that he was trying to make the picture look as bad as possible, eventually, the picture became the most famous one of all. Here are some more fun facts about Albert Einstein:

1. Einstein Was a Fat Baby with Large Head
When Albert’s mother, Pauline Einstein gave birth to him, she thought that Einstein’s head was so big and misshapen that he was deformed!
As the back of the head seemed much too big, the family initially considered a monstrosity. The physician, however, was able to calm them down and some weeks later the shape of the head was normal. When Albert’s grandmother saw him for the first time she is reported to have muttered continuously "Much too fat, much too fat!" Contrasting all apprehensions Albert grew and developed normally except that he seemed a bit slow.

2. Einstein Had Speech Difficulty as a Child
As a child, Einstein seldom spoke. When he did, he spoke very slowly - indeed, he tried out entire sentences in his head (or muttered them under his breath) until he got them right before he spoke aloud. According to accounts, Einstein did this until he was nine years old. Einstein’s parents were fearful that he was retarded - of course, their fear was completely unfounded!
One interesting anecdote, told by Otto Neugebauer, a historian of science, goes like this:
As he was a late talker, his parents were worried. At last, at the supper table one night, he broke his silence to say, "The soup is too hot."Greatly relieved, his parents asked why he had never said a word before.Albert replied, "Because up to now everything was in order." (

In his book,
Thomas Sowell [wiki] noted that besides Einstein, many brilliant people developed speech relatively late in childhood. He called this condition The Einstein Syndrome.

3. Einstein was Inspired by a Compass
When Einstein was five years old and sick in bed, his father showed him something that sparked his interest in science: a compass.
When Einstein was five years old and ill in bed one day, his father showed him a simple pocket compass. What interested young Einstein was whichever the case was turned, the needle always pointed in the same direction. He thought there must be some force in what was presumed empty space that acted on the compass. This incident, common in many "famous childhoods," was reported persistently in many of the accounts of his life once he gained fame. (

4. Einstein Failed his University Entrance Exam
In 1895, at the age of 17, Albert Einstein applied for early admission into the Swiss Federal Polytechnical School (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule or ETH). He passed the math and science sections of the entrance exam, but failed the rest (history, languages, geography, etc.)! Einstein had to go to a trade school before he retook the exam and was finally admitted to ETH a year later. (

5. Einstein wore the Exact same clothes everyday
Another story about Einstein that is highly exaggerated but has some basis in reality concerns his clothing. Many say that Einstein wore the same thing every day and had a closet full of the exact same suit, shirts, ties, and shoes.

DID YOU KNOW?
He made the world smirk when he once made an error while helping a young student with math homework.

Albert Einestein, a shy and gentle man, was an accomplished violinist.

Now, please comment with any fun facts about Einstein that you know!! (i know this post was really boring.... but.... there was nothing else to post and ya.....)

A cat..

For all those cat lovers out there like me...

Scientists have proven that cats have more hair on one side then their other side. Some people believe that this is because when cats lay on their side they need insulation from the cold on the floor or ground. Which side of a cat has more hair?

This isn't a prize puzzle. please email me your guess.

Huh? A tractor??

You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland.

Every day a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island.

Explain how the tractor got there?

This is a PRIZE PUZZLE!! So whoever gets it right first, gets a choice of 2 items. You can only guess once, and if no one gets it right, well, then I will give the prize to whoever is the closest. No cheating, and please comment that you are going to answer, and then email it to me. ok? hope that makes sense. and if everyone is like completely lost, no one gets a prize! ok, bye!

Congrats to Rhea for getting it right!! the answer is, that they drove the tractor over the lake when it was frozen int he winter!! haha!!

So You Think You Can Dance

Hey guys! Since I got reminded of this just now, and I haven't really posted up a blog for a while, I've decided to do a blog about the TV show, so you think you can dance! I know many of you watch it, so my question is, "Who is your favorite boy and favorite girl?" They do not have to be paired up with each other so feel free to choose whoever you like! And my second question is, "Who do you think will win?" If you don't watch it, well, you should because it is a good show. Please comment if you read this blog!

What's wrong with me?

The paragraph below is most unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why?

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby, walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ...

" The above passage is taken from the book "Gatsby" written by Ernest Vincent Wright in the late 1930's

What is unusual about the paragraph above

Congratulations to Rhea for getting it right first! The answer is: What is the most common letter of the alphabet used? E. And if you take a look at the paragraph, there is no "e" in it. that is why it is unusual! You will get your small yet useless prize.... sometime.. if i remember... :D
